Time to feed the birds

Suet to feed the birds. Great project to do with the kids.

1 cup crunchy peanut butter


1 cup lard or shortening

2 cups quick oats

2 cups cornmeal

1 cup flour

1/3 cup sugar



Mix dry ingredients. Melt peanut butter and lard together, and mix with dry ingredients. Press into pan, cool, cut into squares and freeze until needed.

My birthday was last month and I asked for new running shoes. My family picked these out for me and I love them.

Then I was surprised by this:

My beautiful 15 year old daughter MADE this scarf for me!!! It even has my initials stitched in it!!!!Very special!!!! The boys picked out gloves to match. So sweet, huh? I will cherish this scarf forever.

New Years Dinner

We had a lovely dinner for new years thanks to my husband cooking. My children prepared the table and my 12 year old son took some pics. I wanted to share because you can see the steam in his pics!!!
